How to Use Your NFC-enabled items

Tap-to-share in under a minute — no tech skills needed.

Your sticker can store a link, a message, or contact info that pops up the instant
someone taps it with their phone.

Here's how to set it up:

ANDROID

  1. Turn on NFC — go to Settings, search "NFC," and switch it on.
  2. Get the free app — search the Play Store for NFC Tools (by wakdev) and
    install it.
  3. Open the app and tap Write, then Add a record.
  4. Choose what the sticker should do — a website link, a text message, or
contact info — and enter it.
  5. Tap Write again, then hold the sticker to the back of your phone (near the
    camera) for a couple seconds.

IPHONE

  1. Get the free app — search the App Store for NFC Tools and install it.
  2. Open the app and tap Write, then Add a record.
  3. Choose what the sticker should do — a website link, a text message, or
contact info — and enter it.
  4. Tap Write, then hold the sticker near the top of your iPhone (just above the
    camera) and hold still.

That's it!

Anyone with a smartphone can now tap the sticker to see what you
programmed. You can change it anytime by repeating these steps with new info.

- Good to Know -

  • Didn't work the first time? Try moving your phone slowly around the sticker
instead of holding it in one exact spot. Every phone's sensor sits in a slightly
    different place.
  • Thick phone case? Some cases block the signal, try removing it and writing
    again.
  • Nothing happens when someone taps it? Make sure you tapped "Write" (not
just "Save") in the app so the info actually transfers to the sticker.
  • Want to update it later? Just repeat the steps above, new info automatically
    replaces the old.
